More than three thousand households in North-East England are having to cope without power again tonight for a 10th night in a row.
Today, the energy secretary made his first visit to affected areas – where he denied the response would have been swifter had the power cuts happened in the South of England – and warned energy firms they could face action.
But with the race to reconnect still going on, another storm – named Barra – is on its way and due to hit on Tuesday.
