For months there have been reports about South African students left stranded in Turkey and even sleeping in parks. Now the Sunday Times is reporting that the foundation of suspended ANC secretary-general, Ace Magashule, has left a trail of debt of more than R25 million in tuition and accommodation fees to two Turkish universities.
It adds that since September more than 20 students have been left in Istanbul with no place to stay because the foundation failed to pay their fees.
