Nigeria makes history today as the first country in Africa to adopt digital currency which is estimated to increase the country’s GDP by 29 billion US dollars over the next 10 years.
President Muhammadu made the comments during the official unveiling of the e-currency at the statehouse in Abuja.
According to the President, Nigeria is one of the first few countries in the world to introduce a digital currency to its citizens.
