East African Community (EAC) Secretary-General Dr Peter Mathuki said that the East African council of ministers is expected to decide on the location of the East African Monetary Institute this year. The institute will serve to harmonize member countries fiscal and monetary policies with the goal to move to a common currency in 3 years.
